Pros

good industry experience, job teaches you multi-tasking and prioritizing. Ability to move up in the company if you aren't laid off.

Cons

The company is cheap at times. Some facilities won't give you the resources to do your job. There is a lot of pressure and stress in this job. You spend way too much of your time in sales doing administrative tasks, in which there is limited time to be selling. Bottom line is, they only care about the bottom line.

Pros

This company has been in business over 170 years. Hard work is recognized and rewarded properly. Team/family aspect is important.

Cons

In recent years, it has not been what it used to. It has not been a harmonious place. Upper management worries about how much money they can make without worrying about keeping long-term, loyal, and respected employees (unless of course they are management).

Pros

The pay is pretty good for a plant worker.

Cons

You never know anymore if you are going to get a 40 hour week We have had people on layoff off and on for three or four years. They put in cameras to see your every movement
