Pros

SAIC has some very good benefits, including discounts for cellphones and computers. The internal website available to all employees makes it very easy to feel involved with the company, even if you are at a remote site.

Cons

DEFINITELY a good-ole-boys network. My management treated the women on the team differently than the men. For example, handshakes for all of the men, yet hugs were expected from the women. Excuse me, how is THAT appropriate??! My manager did not get any of the women's last names correct when introducing them but knew all of the men's names without issue.

Pros

co-workers were a good bunch. We were a real team.

Cons

You do not want to get behind on a project. Management will try to help and quite frankly most of them have no idea on what is going on. They will start directing and put you further behind the eight ball and then blame you.

Pros

Technical work is challenging. No micro-managers, but personnel is available if you need assist.

Cons

Health benefits are not great. SAIC is bracing themselves for upcoming health care changes.
