Pros

Used to be an ok company

Cons

They laid off most of the people working in Innovations and after over 12 years of working for them, I got 2 weeks severance in total

Pros

- Assisted Transitions between Contracts - Great company culture - Diverse array of options

Cons

- Profit-driven - Poor healthcare(costed me between 8000 and 16000 a year for medical(incl. dental & vision)) - Compensation is well below the industry average and even seasoned employees make less than entry level at other organizations. - Largely contract work for Federal agencies... employer alters diversity and other employee well-being "commitments" to satisfy their customers. - Contract work is impermanent and often subject to the whims of the customer, regardless of whether the employee was held in high regard.

Layoff central

Pros

Benefits are okay, pay is okay, work is okay. We didn't do anything particularly innovative or interesting. Free parking and snacks.

Cons

I had to go in to the office three times a week (hybrid) even though my entire team was remote and I didn't work with anyone there. It was purely for numbers so the director could justify keeping an office downtown. It wasn't a particularly friendly or welcoming office and as soon as SAIC hit financial trouble, they laid off a dozen people. This is normal for SAIC.
