Pros

Good pay for a while, before you get cut for no reason, then they don't care about helping.

Cons

Contracts will be ended early, management will make promises and write contracts that they will not honor, manahement does not care about retaining good employees.

Pros

Building a great team is a possibility when working with this company

Cons

Company does not stand behind their employees. When the contract is over they bid you farewell. Promise opportunities but do not follow through.

Pros

There are many opportunities at SAIC, and the higher-level corporate culture seemed good - healthy. Learn quickly how to navigate the organization in case you find yourself in a non-ideal role/contract.

Cons

Though the overall corporate culture at the higher levels seems good, you're at the mercy of any particular contract manager or team that may have a rigid or otherwise unhealthy culture, especially as they learn or fail to learn how to adapt to a newly remote workforce (which is where I found myself). SAIC offers a lot overall, but do your homework on the contract team and its' management style, and don't ignore red flags in the interview phase to get that paycheck. In my case, HR turned a blind eye to very unhealthy rigid and hierarchical manager behaviors, or just conveniently didn't believe my experience when shared. I only have this one contract experience as my testimony, but it was quite a painful experience. Don't knock SAIC out of the running, but definitly do your research before accepting a position!
