Pros

Compensation, Nice looking office, Good environment in other departments, PTO, benefits, great product, chances to earn extra money with contests, free food every once in a while.

Cons

The market development department is getting worse by the second. Since new management implemented a “transformation” of the department the culture, morale, and overall excitement for the job has been sucked out of the office and the employees who are a part of it. The best way to summarize this job title is that you work in a call center. The management team says that the best part of this job is that you don’t even have to think. They provide the MDR team with scripts, talk tracks, and emails that are crafted for you. Additionally, they even build out your lists to call on so all you have to do is sit down and ‘press go’. In their minds this is the ultimate dream job. News flash – young professionals who just spent thousands of dollars on college degrees and studying business for 4 years want to at least use their brains. The most unfortunate part of this whole department ‘face lift’ is the role went from creatively thinking, collaborating with a sales team, and coming up with strategic ways to bring in new business to being treated like a toddler. In summary I would say that the cons of this position currently outweigh the pros. If you are looking to become a telemarketer, cold call for hours on end, and have management breathing down your neck then take this role. However, if you are looking for a job that you will be motivated to go to everyday with a management team that supports your development that’s not here so I’d strongly encourage you to stay far far away.

Pros

Pay is competitive with other companies The work is interesting

Cons

Disorganized, misusing stockholders money (like taking unnecessary work trips to Europe with family on company's money) I got an 'overachieved' promotion. In about 6 months I went on approved vacation. New manger tried to fire me while I was in vacation. HR discipline her really good and she could not fire me. I left one year after the event as I could not find a way to deal with my new manager dishonesty, disrespect and unprofessionalism.

Pros

-Concur is growing rapidly and has plans to grow 7x times faster over the next 5 years -Lots of opportunity for career development both laterally and vertically -Great Leadership in place -Leadership/Mentor Programs -Decent Benefits and Time Off -Flexible work schedules and work from home opportunities -Company allows you to brain storm new ideas and run with them

Cons

The SAP acquisition has left many to question whether we can hold our small company culture. So far, not alot has changed. We are hoping we keep that culture as we continue to grow. Not necessarily a con.. but if you can't roll quickly with the changes and scale to the growth, you won't be happy here.
