Great company to grow with if you have a background in retail and merchandising.
Pros
These pros apply specifically to the Space Management department: - Good way to transition from retail into an office job. - If you've got retail experience, some tech savvy, a willingness to learn, and good attention to detail, you can go far. - Lots of room for professional growth. - The work is interesting and not too stressful. - Good for people who like to work independently while still being a part of a close-knit team. - Positive work culture. - Good coworkers. - Excellent work/life balance. - It's easy to request and get time off. Times when retailers are usually busy is when it's easiest for us to get time off.
Cons
- We are a 3rd party vendor working for, and along-side a retailer. While we are well-treated, there's an added layer of politics that makes the job harder than it needs to be. This becomes more apparent when in a management position. - The company has experienced a lot of growth in a relatively short period of time, so certain things may not be as streamlined as in a large corporation. This may sometimes be a little frustrating, but it could also be considered an opportunity for people with initiative and creativity. - Training is good for entry-level, however it's minimal for management-level positions. You are expected to figure out a lot of the job on your own.
