Pros

Good benefits; nice campus. Great place to go and just blend in; great if you like doing the bare minimum.

Cons

Unethical HR practices. Inconsistently and subjectively applied policies. Leadership has no idea how bad things really are due to middle management not holding teams accountable and sharing information upwards.

Stay away from building Q and the PMO.

Pros

Seriously none. I had a terrible experience there.

Cons

Building Q culture is awful. No one works the 35 hours you hear about, everyone is now sharing offices, no one gets a lunch break like in other buildings to enjoy the facilities. Expectation is that you work over 40 hours. Everyone at SAS knows how awful building Q is to work in and no one will do anything to change it.

Pros

The campus is well landscaped. On-site facilities (cafes, gym, pool).

Cons

This is a dying company with a few ancient products keeping it up. SAS technology has become stale and lost its edge. SAS has failed miserably at maintaining their advantage in the software industry. This is NOT the place to work if you want to be a leader or want to follow strong leaders. Freezing people out is a very popular tactic here, especially if a competent employee is reliant on receiving information from an incompetent manager. Do NOT expect professional advancement here. Salary is NOT competitive enough to keep top talent. HR is NOT there for employees. Avoid HR at all cost. Do not contact them for anything other than to resign.
