Pros

I did work with some really talented, creative people.

Cons

1. Your equipment had better last forever. No Site has monies budgeted to replace or repair equipment. 2. There is a great employee incentive program-and, it is unfunded. 3. You have to come up with an innovation every quarter. This is also unfunded. 4. The budgeted hours are so tight that you have to force employees to cover absent co-workers. This makes them (understandably) unhappy. 5.Part of your quarterly bonus is based on Employee satisfaction. 6. Human resources is useless-unless they are throwing you under the bus. They excel at that. 7. Expect to put in a ridiculous amount of hours to churn out reports that are unending and meant to be pretty but useless. And get them in on time, even on very short notice. Expect a write-up if you are late. Oh, and squeeze in a minute to see if your building is clean. (Not) 8. Practice apologizing to the customer for things that are beyond your control. You will need the practice.

Pros

SBM is one of the biggest players in the facilities management industry. This company values strong leadership, people who have different ideas and those want to prove their value. I had to leave for personal reasons, but would definitely return.

Cons

Advancement opportunities are there if you are willing to sacrifice a satisfying work-life balance and deal with the stresses that come with a demanding industry.
