Pros

You can make a difference in the lives of your employees and customer EVERY day. Strong intrapreneurial culture--you own the performance at your site and are able to develop your business within the SBM framework. Most, if not all, senior leadership started in entry-level management positions. Not saying that every site manager needs to aspire to be a VP, but if that's the career path you want to choose, SBM can help you get there.

Cons

Work-life balance can be difficult to manage. Expectations are high so even the best at time management can struggle to strike a decent balance. Learning curve can be tough--lots of effort has been put into making the manager training more relevant, but expect to jump through a lot of hoops up front, demonstrating your ability to walk the talk before being granted any degree of autonomy.

Where do I start? There are so many things wrong with this place, starting with the CEO. The man yells, hangs up or completely ignores people. He gets an idea in his head, obsesses about it, and makes teams lives nightmares because he wants something that can't be done. He thinks he's Steve Jobs, but we all know that he's not. There are VP's there that have no personality, are completely unapproachable and wouldn't last a day outside of SBM (probably why they have stayed so long). Workers in the field have it way better than at the corporate office. So many people working there are miserable, which made for an uncomfortable work environment. Systems and processes are out of date, it felt like I was in an old movie.
