Pros

At the time - the pay was decent.

Cons

Look at the REAL Healthcare in Action (separate profile) for reviews and an honest take on this company. It is attempting to rebrand/shift the company into the mother company SCAN to shed its 2 star rating. Nepotism, favoritism, internal politics, peacocking, abusive mgmt, and toxic work conditions. This place is AWFUL and they cannot whitewash their past.

Pros

I got good training on the processes and tools, which gave me confidence and made my first days mostly stress-free. One thing I like here is that feedback really matters and regularly leads to improvements. Managers communicate goals clearly and get involved when needed. The pay and benefits package (including good PTO and health options) give me security.

Cons

Too many meetings during project ramp-ups

Pros

I cannot think of any.

Cons

SCAN Health Plan is dominated by completely apathetic and heartless leaders. Nearly every problem stems from the lack of support and guidance for employees. Managers refuse to teach or help staff and show no concern for anyone’s well-being. Working here is exhausting because the leadership is entirely indifferent and neglectful.

We regret hearing about your negative experience. While we understand that experiences can vary, the environment described does not reflect the culture we strive to maintain at SCAN. SCAN’s leadership team is deeply involved in the day-to-day work of the organization and remains accessible and engaged, working closely with teams to ensure decisions reflect what’s best for our members. A large part of this is ensuring our Rebels (employees) receive the support and guidance they need to continue effectively serving our members. And with 91% of our Rebels saying that SCAN is a great place to work according to our Great Place to Work survey, we believe we’re headed in the right direction. As part of this, our leadership also maintains an open-door policy to allow for candid feedback from all levels of the organization with the option to submit anonymously at any time. As you have moved on from SCAN, we wish you the best in your future pursuits.
