Pros

Non-deductible health insurance, hours weren't constantly terrible, pay was within industry average. The best part was the opportunity to work with some of the very kindest people you'll ever meet.

Cons

The racism and cliques will limit your opportunities to advance. You can fulfill all requirements related to advancement and they'll still come up with an excuse. If you're a white person, you'll do just fine. That's just how the treatment of employees in this company. It's embarrassing, frustrating, and annoying.

Sachin Jain, SCAN President and CEO Thank you for your honest feedback. We are deeply concerned about the depiction of SCAN that you describe. While we do not believe this to be the experience of most SCAN employees, it troubles us greatly to know that it was the experience of even one SCAN employee. To be clear: we endeavor to provide fulfilling work opportunities to all of our employees without regard to race or any other factor. While it appears you are no longer working at SCAN, we have no doubt that our other associates are reading this thread. To them, we say that our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion remains resolute. If any of you feel that your identity is not celebrated by SCAN or in some ways interferes with your ability to work and succeed at SCAN, we want to know about it. Please contact your manager, a member of the HR team or any member of the leadership team. We guarantee that we will take your concerns seriously and do everything within our power to address any problems you may raise. Again, thank you for your post. We value it and wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

-Co-workers are the nicest people -Able to work from home -Challenge and privilege of serving clients with complex needs and being able to provide tangible assistance (making a difference) -Good company benefits and perks

Cons

-Unnecessary micromanagement/ constantly tracking time spent on tasks in the name of “efficiency” -Ever-increasing and changing expectations and workload without adequate support and training -Quickly reached top of the pay scale; compensation not adequate for amount & type of work/ no upward mobility -Staff turnover means extra coverage work and training new people (on top of regular workload)
