Pros

Pay is good, sometimes it's great.

Cons

Run by idiots. Senior managers have been fired across the board because of the mess they created during IFRS 17 rollout. Middle managers are mostly good at forwarding emails. They have no idea on how to manage a team. It's a DIY place. You will hardly find any guidance/documentation on how to carry out a particular task. That's because those who 'actually work' have left the company long ago. Majority of them are waiting for retirements and their mortgages being fully paid off.

Pros

Good package of benefits, flexibility

Cons

- Vertical hierarchical structure - Old fashion IT structure - Too many externals - No opportunities to grow (if you're not political)
