Professionalism lacking at all levels

Pros

Lots of opportunity and chances to learn and grow.

Cons

The CRO, HR and Corporate office all gossip, form cliques, back stab and are incredibly unprofessional. If any mistakes are made they are trotted out in meetings to be dissected, ridiculed and laughed at. It is very disappointing coming from a company that has seen investment and growth in the last few years.

Unfortunate Insufficiency of Empathy & Customer Service

It's a growing company. Very tech & process focused.

Several of the current leaders have consulting firm backgrounds, it is assumed that some current leaders were recently given their new titles & responsibilities in anticipation of the recent acquisition of HPP meaning some 'leaders' are presently experiencing on-the-job-training (not an organized training) in their new leadership roles. Many Schumacher leaders have little or no knowledge of true customer service and how to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ICs and employees. Personal experience: management has promised one thing and literally has avoided communication, if at all possible. In several recent cases promises have even turned out to be blatant untruths. There was little or no empathy during layoffs and you would've assumed they'd have learned a few things since they've seen major layoffs numerous times over the past 3-4 years. Not the case. SG is process focused, not people focused. I see quantity, not quality. Was incredibly concerned about what will happen to the hard work, passion, customer service driven core values and care that HPP put into their company over the past several years to rebuild the reputation into the great place to work that it had become for so many.
