Great Place to Learn

Pros

Startup working environment that forces you to quickly learn. Novus does have an organized clear structure of the training session to offer, but you have to be your own leader to get up to speed and take initiatives to take on projects. Your daily responsibilities might not be limited by the job description, and there are freedoms to work across team and departments.

Cons

Need more team bonding events especially after we have opened another office in Austin.

It's great to hear that you feel our environment encourages people to learn and take on new responsibilities. We also encourage our team members to take advantage of things like our Education Program, which gives employees an allowance to pursue courses, training, certifications, etc. that will further expand their knowledge and skill set. We certainly want to continue providing more opportunities for social outings, and we are excited to plan our first Annual Summit, where we will get the whole team together once a year. More to come on that soon!

Wonderful Company, Excellent Benefits, Start-Up Culture

Pros

I began my career out of college at Novus. As my first job out of school, it has been a great experience! Though Novus has been around for ten years, it still has a start-up -like culture--which I love. It has allowed me to explore various arenas of the Fin-Tech industry that I would not have been exposed to in a larger setting. The culture here is excellent, the people are down-to-earth and our office manager, Angie, brightens everyone's day with fruit platters, breakfast and snacks.

Cons

We recently opened an office in Austin, so the team is more spread out than it used to be. However, the company does a great job at keeping channels of communication as open as possible.
