Pros

Constant campaigns are the staple of the average SEIU organizer. If you feel that the most important thing in the world is making sure members wages, benefits and working conditions are constantly serviced, this is the job for you.

Cons

However, the job comes with a cost. The management of SEIU is ultimately hypocritical when it comes to the basic rights of employment. Sure, the wages are fair, especially for the kids in their early twenties who make up the vast majority of new hires, as are the benefits for any age range or job. The working conditions of the SEIU are geared for constant performance without rest, 90+ hours a week are very common, you work 13 days straight, and take three days off. If you live far from the campaign, they'll send you home, but the travel time can reduce your time off by a day. Lower management is usually filled with very combative individuals under great pressure to make numbers grow, and they are not unaccustomed to taking their frustrations out on their employees.

Pros

No benefits at all, it's all a mo ey grab. They do nothing for the employees they work for.

Cons

This organization needs to shut down, they do absolutely nothing for the people who pay monthly fees, they are extremely slow. We need to vote them out now.
