I resigned after just a few weeks due to the unclear expectations, nonsense objectives with obsolete 30+ years old software and tools, contradictory assignments, and a clueless manager on the area I had been hired for; the worst I have seen in 20+ years, working both as a full time employee and as consultant for many US and three European organizations.
Fortunately for me, I was able to go back to what I was doing prior to making the mistake of coming to SGS. You might not be so lucky. You might want to think twice before you quit your job to work in this place. At least you might want to find people that work in the department you would work and ask them personally what they think before you jump.
To make matters worst, as I was in good faith loading all my files to the project SharePoint sites before I leave the company so that others could easily find them, a thuggist guy from HR came to my office and followed me on my way out to make it look to other employees and my peers as if I had been terminated or fired by someone and he was escorting me out of the company. This was quite unprofessional, thuggist, and unwarranted. Fortunately, I copied myself in my resignation email and have the prove that I resigned just a few weeks into this nightmare without anyone terminating me and asking to resign.
