Good culture and Job security with good benefits and pay
Cons
No raise for years. Management is somewhat in a chaos. Most of the contracts are based on Palantir's foundry and Gotham platform. Only a few opportunities for splunk security analysts.
During the time period where most of the negative reviews occurred I was with the company in a rarified position within NGIC service support. I had frequent interaction with the customer and daily interaction with SHINE administrative and senior leadership. The SHINE team was ultra-supportive and I saw nothing to indicate the "charged environment" that several people have described. Personal emergency situations were handled with alacrity and compassionately. Ample flexibility and the company leadership maintained a good relationship with the company. Excellent salary for the area. HR team was on top of things despite a couple of HR managerial resignations (always to take another position in another locale) that would have killed other companies - everybody pitched in to make it work. My personal supervisor was a highly skilled contract management professional and had the trust of his employees and the government customer. I worked here for more than 3 years.
Cons
Couldn't crack the small business/HUBzone code to become a Prime despite herculean efforts on the part of Business Development.
I have worked for contract companies consistently since 2006 and this is by far the best company I have had the pleasure of employment with:
Management cares about their employees
Intelligent Leadership
Very little bureaucracy
Competitive Salaries
Competitive Benefits
Cons
The only con I would cite would be that I feel their tuition reimbursement could be more robust.
