Pros

When I first started, SHRM was great. It offered a flexible work environment, and the work was interesting. The people at SHRM are second to none.

Cons

Leadership is very Big Brother. If you arrive after 9 am, you have to be escorted by your Chief to your workspace. You also must stay until at least 5 pm; you cannot flex your hours at all. In addition, some departments have become increasingly toxic. In many cases, you are expected to be on-call at all times and you are punished if you try to set boundaries. I cannot stress enough that this is NOT somewhere you want to work.
