-Fast-track career: You will advance in Schlumberger twice the speed that many employees in operating companies or competitors. -Excellent training programs. -Lots of travelling (good for young people, if you enjoy this aspect) -You are given responsibility as a young professional. The company prepares you for it and trusts and pushes you to perform as such.

Cons

-Very demanding job in terms of personal time. Work - life balance seldom does not exist. It is ok for career dedicated persons, but at some point it affects personal morale. -Training program is good, but tough. Evaluations are sometimes subjective and your job depends on them. -Company is going through a change management strategy confusing many of middle managers. This is demotivating for everyone as low communication is seen. Nevertheless, this is a time constraint which will be solved at some point.

Very good place for new graduates that are excited for challenges, especially since the company has the fixed step career program period for freshouts for several career ladders. On each step, the engineer needs to successfully complete an exciting technical training and a non-technical training, and also doing predefined online learning, on job training to get promoted.

Cons

- very volatile to economic condition - in some cases, being more expert will hold the engineer from moving/progressing - high mobility, less family time - high turnover rate
