Pros

Office was very modern, high tech style, located in a beautifull area

Cons

No work life balance at all. You are constantly asked to do more work regardless of how many hours you have already put into your effort. Overtime needed everyday to meet your daily tasks and special assignments with no extra remuneration. Weekends you gotta work as well if you did not complete your tasks during the weekdays. They overwork their employees to the max. If you divide the total hours you are putting in by your "good salary",it's like working at Mc Donald's!! Enough said.

Pros

- Extremely diverse - There is no other company that's as diverse as Schlumberger is. It is truly admirable. - International Career - If you want to travel the world, then this is the place to be - Decent benefits - What they dont pay you in cold hard cash is somewhat offset by a 401k match, decent health care options, etc - A lot of what is said depends on your work location and segment. Life is generally good if you're in Research or Engineering.

Cons

- Mediocre salary - this holds for all divisions in the company. field, software, IT, sales. - Layoffs - we hire em young and fire em old - if your field of study isnt specific to Oil and Gas, dont get invested in it. You'll be laid off anytime EPS (earnings per share) is at risk.

Pros

Meet people from all over the world and learn about other cultures and languages. You can make good friends for life.

Cons

There is no training, and one person has work for 12 plus hours daily. Once a month we have to work the whole weekend without bonus or compensation. In quarter end, just bring your mattress and blanket, to spend the night. There is no work life balance, it is just work, work plus work.
