      Good company but politics are extreme and stress is high

      Pros

      Schlumberger training is top notch. Safety is held in the highest regard. Compensation and insurance is better than most. If you're willing to put in the hours and have a high attention to detail and are a quick learner you will go far with this company.

      Cons

      Stress at SLB is very high as business is good. Moral is very low and there is a big disconnect between management and those that work for them. OT is strongly encouraged and you will be made to feel that it's mandatory when in actuality it isn't. Promises made aren't always kept.

      A great place to work if you are interested in oil industry

      Pros

      Very organized training for new employee, you can really learn a lot. Again , only if you are interested in oil industry. Averagely high salary, especially when you are at Houston area, a place that is famous for low living cost.

      Cons

      Rosharon site is pretty far away from Houston downtown, nothing except corns that you can see outside your window. But that means it gives you no attemptation and you can focus on your job and learning.

      Pros

      People you work with are great. The technology you get to develop is interesting. Possible to get exposure to wide breath of industry technology and practices. Exposure to world economies and culture.

      Cons

      Health Insurance and generally decreasing benefits as company grows (little things go away). Likely to get a bad managers. Not realistic product development times given capabilities and speed of supply chain.
