Challenging but exciting work. Excellent training and training opportunities. Wonderful and talented coworkers.

Cons

Use of multiple business systems that did not communicate with each other; this resulted in multiple manual entry of information - non productive time. Over zealous safety protocols implemented that handicap ones ability to perform your work. Once the Oil & Gas downturn set in, multiple layers of layoffs resulted; thus reductions in personnel, increased work, decreased morale. As a cost savings, Management sought to out source as much work as possible.

- emphasis on personal development - descent benefits compared with market and 401k match up to 6% - lots of smart coworkers

Cons

- lack employment engagement - longevity of career uncertain. Little experience within some of the engineering teams - poor management of human resource - Lots of layers and non essential personnel adding cost to projects

- great managers - great emphasis on personal development, technical innovation, safety, and quality - If you want, can be very hands on

Cons

Constant budget cuts and layoffs get really discouraging. There's a lot of black box operations where "they" say something can't be done. It's hard to learn the correct way to make enough stink to get results.
