Pros
1. Freshers will get exposure to clients and some legacy tech stack. 2. You will be handling more than one role. 3. Transportation team is good. 4. Well maintained office and staff. 5. Good colleagues.
Cons
I see most of the people endorsing company for freshers. I have a point to make. 1. Not all Freshers will learn technology. few will be forced to work for hours, on their in-house tool. adding no value to the employees. 2. Exposure: Freshers will be exposed to work, but not how to do it the engineering way. If your lead is good, then you will learn. Freshers do not know the standards of coding and so is most of their leads. If code works, then lead will take the credit. Freshers will be mocked otherwise. 3. Scary HR: HR will give you lectures on ethics. They scare you with fancy legal terms. In this regards, all employees are treated equally, irrespective of levels. They think grammatically correct sentences are important than the concern that you are trying to convey. 4. Micromanagement and Balanced Life: Management monitors every hour you add in time-sheet. They have a process team. My ex-Manager always screwed me for adding more hours. reality is you will end up working more than 14 hours, but updating only 8 hours in the sheet. 5. Code Quality: No Unit tests. Most of the people write code with full of potholes. Code does not have structures, they do not implement OOPS. If they add static check tools in the CI/CD, they will end up refactoring the code for years. 6. View of Management on employees: They do not see employees as employees. They will be made to work for more than 14 hours and still comment on the work done. The comment is done to prevent your appraisal cycles. 7. Annual Appraisal: More than your contributions, your pitfalls will be discussed and those meetings will make sure to bring the regret in work you did for that quarters. this cycle repeats. 8. Meeting Schedules: Your clients are friendlier than your managers in this regard. You will end up blocking your own calendar for lunch hours. 9. Impression over expression: If you are a free thought supporter, you will end up criticising yourself. Because, You will always see Senior management impressing top tables, your managers impressing your senior management, and you with your manager. 10. Reliability of reviews in the internet: It is observed that employees were asked to give good feedback for a GPTW survey.
