      Pros

      Staff has a good amount of meritocratic freedom to directly affect the business and find individual ways to best contribute. Benefits package is strong, especially of you take advantage of tuition benefits.

      Cons

      What started as a liberal loose-and-fast academic style work environment evolved into a professional and highly conservative business. Current culture encourages narrow thinking, with little innovation.

      Pros

      VERY high teacher to students ratio, very supportive learning environment. Very beautiful campus, supportive advisor, collaborative academic atmosphere, enough academic resources.

      Cons

      Because of the size of SMU, which is not that big, private school, many times you need to find resources somewhere else, such as library materials, or even collaborators.
