Pros

Mission with purpose. Every day, our work contributes directly to identifying, honoring, and returning fallen service members. SNA provides us with the tools and support necessary to uphold the scientific standards required in this field. Excellent colleagues. The anthropologists, archaeologists, historians, and lab staff I work with are some of the most dedicated professionals I’ve ever met. The collaborative environment is truly exceptional. Strong support from SNA leadership. Even though much of the team is in Hawaii or deployed, SNA stays engaged, responsive, and proactive in solving issues quickly. Respect for scientific rigor. SNA gives its forensic teams the space, resources, and professional respect needed to maintain accuracy, chain of custody, and methodological standards that meet DPAA’s expectations.

Cons

The work can be physically and emotionally demanding, especially on recovery missions and during high-tempo periods. Schedules sometimes shift based on operational needs—normal for DPAA assignments but worth noting for those new to this type of work.

Pros

SNA International is truly a fantastic place to work, and being part of this team has been a rewarding experience from day one. The company’s commitment to scientific excellence and its meaningful mission make every project feel significant and impactful. Leadership genuinely cares about employee growth, well-being, and collaboration, creating a welcoming environment where feedback is valued and professional development is encouraged. Colleagues are highly skilled, supportive, and dedicated to making a real difference in the world. There’s a strong sense of camaraderie and pride that comes from knowing our work matters to clients and communities across the country. SNA International isn’t just a workplace—it’s a place where people unite behind a shared purpose, enjoy challenging and interesting assignments, and celebrate the unique contributions each person brings to the team.

Cons

One thing to keep in mind about working at SNA International is that the fast-paced nature of the work sometimes makes it feel like priorities shift quickly. For those who value a steady, routine environment, this can take some adjustment—but the upside is that these changes usually bring opportunities for growth, learning, and fresh ideas that help the team and organization move forward.
