Pros

Daily pay, decent PTO, nice coworkers.

Cons

Expensive benefits. Low pay for the average market. Same yearly increase of 2.5% no matter how good you do your job. Need to request PTO 4 weeks in advance. All PTO comes out of the same bank (holiday, sick and vacation)

Pros

SSM is an overall great health organization. They have very competitive pay, good work/life balance, and good patient care. I have worked for several St. Louis based health organizations and SSM has been the best in providing patient care in their breast centers. I feel proud to say I work for SSM.

Cons

Management restructuring. There was a restructure and a new level of management was put in place over Breast Imaging for the St. Louis region. It is a wonderful addition to have the person you report to understand mammography standards and regulations. The issue arising is breast ultrasound still reports up to radiology. All leadership needs to be on the same page. I feel like they are sometimes working against each other instead of with each other.
