Pros

some of the coworkers are very nice people. too nice, as they put up with being understaffed and overworked and working far outside of their hired job responsibilities

Cons

Underpaid, Forced to work on areas of the system you are not trained or certified in, or hired to work on. Why are they sending debt collectors after old employees? I was hired under my asking salary, told I would be promoted next year and make the amount I asked for. I was promoted and made 20$ more per pay period. HR says they can't negotiate.

Pros

Self scheduling, uses epic charting and clean work environment.

Cons

ER management and CEO DO NOT care about staff. They are all snakes. If you want to advance you have to play their corrupt game or they will FIND or MAKE UP “issues” to give you a corrective action and make you incapable of advancing. HR is a joke too. They have no clue what is going on and will not have your back. In all the years I worked there, I never seen so much horizontal violence from providers and nurses. They like to rally the troops and take pictures in rooms, complimenting the work environment but it’s very psychologically abusive and mind screwing. Normally in May and in December timeframe, this behavior is exacerbated by management because they get a lot of internships from nurses coming fresh out of nursing school. They will use you to train them and then fire you for something later on. It’s a business approach because you make more an hour than the, fresh new nursing graduates they can hire you on with. Don’t let them tell you that it cost so much money to train you to their expectations because they did not train me for nothing. It was the very few nurses that we’re not hateful to each other that made me the nurse I am today. The only reason I stayed as long as I did is because I had a lot going on in my life I did not want to learn a new routine, system and etc. I have numerous emails unanswered to the Educational director wanting to sign up for TNCC and other similar classes and never was given the opportunity over FOUR plus years. I am not a disgruntled employee, but I am an advocate for the medical field and I hate the way management is making it awful to work in.
