Business Outlook
Pros
Low volume ED, only 3 shifts a week. No homeless patient's patient base is moderate income families. Also patient's from small towns to south. It is not a bad place to work, however remember that ED dynamics, both positive and negative. Physician's are not burnt out as the case in high volume ED's.
Cons
Below market hourly wages. Lack of support from all levels of management. Patient satisfaction is considered more important than patient outcomes. Physicians give drug seekers narcotics to improve their Press Ganey scores so this increases the repeat visits of this population. East Healthplex is very dysfunctional I would not recommend working at that location. Mustang and North Healthplex are both great work environments.
