Pros

- Some people I met are amazing.

Cons

- You work like a slave for basic pay. - No chance for a pay rise. - Very often worked more than 10 hours a day. - No staff room. - No toilets (Had to use rail station toilets)

Pros

Air and Rail environments are different to the high street and have peaks and troughs that will challenge your business management skills. Customer focused - if you like talking to people and have a helpful nature and like to upsell, you'll do well.

Cons

Shift work isn't suitable for everyone so if you're looking for the '9-5' then it's probably not the role for you - in operations, support staff tend to work more traditional office hours. Working within brands mean you have to consistently follow set procedures so if you want to create your own menu's and 'do your own thing' then the need for consistency doesn't allow for that, although you can make suggestions and recommendations for the brand team to consider so you do still have an input.
