Pros

does not make sense to work here. The company does not give raises to employees. A large part of the team is weak and you have to work for the same money. The company does not give free weekends sometimes 2 months. you never know what days you are available or will see in the last day who finish a week. Managers are not nice sometimes they use insults or are not righteous. Managers determines how many working hours and overtime, and when. Overtime may occur three days a week and even for 3 months without the consent of the employee. breaks available to any but the best if you did not took advantage and went to the house -30 minutes to payment. food offered to employees is old or poorly cooked and you can be sick. Elites which are working with you do not take seriously your hard work mostly speak compliment or joking with you. New employees can get more money than an older employee. Managers get money for your profitability. There are no benefits or tip. You can not be late for work even five minutes but always stay an hour longer. People usually false, come from 2 or 3 nations and discriminate against another because they are in advantage. The work requires a lot of references and can prove to be defective after half a year. I am working here last month and worked 17 months. Cleaners working good first 2 days after signed contract.

Cons

No Comment about promotions leadership i know better people who have idea about job better then highest position other employee. You need luck maybe they will like you and give you future because on interview its looking very good job.

Pros

I have enjoyed working for SSP and it is a great company with a lot of opportunities to climb the career ladder. If you're a person who loves customers and customer interaction then you will really enjoy working for SSP as the whole business is aimed at customer service in airports and train station across the globe. All my colleagues are really friendly and I get on great with most of them.

Cons

SSP are all about money money money. Like any business, they need to make profit but SSP seem to take this a step further. In my unit, we are always under staffed and under constant pressure from the above management to make more money. We are meant to up-sell to each customer three times, and we know thats not what they want. Days are long and there is a lot of standing up for the minimum wage. It is almost certain that you will be doing tasks that aren't in your job description, I can think of a number of examples where team members are doing a team leader job with the promise that "they will be signed off soon", but never are due to budgets. It is very easy to get stressed out and make yourself too tired and therefore you don't look forward to your next shift.

Pros

Free lunch, working with new and regular customers can be incredibly enjoyable, training was very good and having a contract at a young age is rare.

Cons

Working in an SSP unit has been a horrible experience, the management is absolutely terrible, in fact the management bullies their staff to make sure targets are met, I have never felt so belittled in my live. Contracted to 20 hours a week I often work between 40 and 50 while studying a part time degree and it is a rare occasion that I might get my 2 days off in a row. This is a similar case with other employees I have spoken to in the unit. There is work culture between the manager and her friends who all work together and make spiteful comments to the newer members of staff. I have known of three different colleagues who have all left work in tears within a two week period. This should not be happening in any workplace. It is manipulative, and quite frankly bullying.
