Pros
This is my first year working at STARS as an occupational therapist, but I wish I had started with them right out of college! You feel as though you are a family member from the minute you walk in the door. All individuals within the company are exceptionally responsive - by phone, by email, and in person. No matter what you need, they help you to get it. Want a specific assessment, you’ve got it. Need a specific CEU, they’ve got recommendations (and also offer classes throughout the year for FREE while providing breakfast, snacks, and/or lunch/dinner depending on the length!). Need wiggle cushions for your students, they’ve got them for you to check out. The benefits - medical, dental, eye - are excellent as well. You are recognized multiple times per year for your hard work - your birthday, during the holidays, over the summer, etc. I cannot praise STARS enough. If you are on the fence about joining this great team, do it! You will NOT regret it.
Cons
Because I live far from their main office, I have had to travel, on occasion, approximately one hour to attend trainings. However, CEUS at the main office have been free and food has been provided.
