STARS is a great company to work for
Pros
I have been working for STARS for the majority of my professional career. Although they employ educators all around the state of Arizona, they are a relatively small, run business that cares about their employees. Throughout the years, I have been in a few different school districts, which has allowed me to gain a wide variety of skills and perspectives in the educational setting. One thing that stands out with STARS is they are always just a quick phone call away and do whatever they can to help me professionally. There have been times where I needed a particular evaluation/test and STARS has always gone the extra mile to provide me with it in a very timely manner. Additional perks include an annual Holiday party and end of the year family party which caters to both kids and adults. Compensation is competitive and they reimburse for professional related expenses such as licensing, continuing education, etc.
Cons
Not as much opportunity for growth/advancement, but the same could be said for many positions related to public education
