Pros

Extensive paid training, gas reimbursement, everyone is SUPER friendly, kind, and caring. paid time off, sick leave, 401k, dental, vision, healthcare. What more could you ask for?

Cons

working bank hours only gives about 3 hours a day at home with family. But you do get weekends and paid time off.

Thank you for sharing and commenting on a few of our employee benefits! Additionally, we offer a semi-annual bonus, paid time to volunteer, and tuition reimbursement. A complete list of benefits can be found at our website (www.stcu.org/here-for-good/about-stcu/careers).

Pros

I love working for STCU because of the employee culture, engagement in the community and the competitive wages.

Cons

Benefits are a huge miss here. The costly nature of the benefits, though they include great coverage, are cost prohibitive. For a family, the cost is far and above that of the industry.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this review! We love that we’re able to offer a culture that values fun, engaged employees, and professional development. When it comes to insurance costs, we are self-funded and try to keep the premiums as close to cost as possible with a cost share between STCU and our employees. The premium payments go directly towards the services that are received. In addition to health insurance, STCU offers a very generous 401K plan with a company match of 10% after 2 years of service, a semi-annual bonus, accrued PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Pros

Supportive middle management. Innovative thinkers. Competitive wages and benefits. Community focused. Amazing opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Large amount of chiefs (upper management), inability to know everyone or work with everyone in the organization due to the amount of staff members, individual voices are sometimes not heard.

Innovation is important to remaining competitive in our industry and also something we encourage. Employees are encouraged to participate in our “Innovation Station” where they can submit ideas that help improve processes, procedures and products. Our hope is that this tool allows ideas to be heard and implemented across the credit union. Thank you for the review!
