Pros

STCU has an incredible company culture, reasonable compensation, and engaged management. Employees are encouraged to pursue self-development, and the company makes every effort to provide advancement opportunities.

Cons

The company is going through minor growing pains, which is somewhat of a necessary evil. The pay and schedules raises are reasonable, but compensation doesn't grow nearly enough to support someone who completes more than an associates degree after getting hired.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate hearing from our existing employees. The growth that STCU is experiencing is exciting, but you’re right, it does come with a few growing pains. STCU encourages personal and professional development and career advancement for those who are ready. Our tuition reimbursement program is something many employees take advantage of in order to prepare themselves for future opportunities. We also analyze employee compensation and external salary data on a regular basis to remain competitive and to ensure we are paying our employees at a fair rate for each position and the requirements and experience required of the position. We hope you continue to "love your job" and appreciate your continued commitment to STCU!

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are sorry to hear that your time with STCU was less than ideal. As an organization we strive to provide robust training opportunities, so we really appreciate you letting us know we missed the mark here. We are happy to report there have been positive changes made this year to improve the training process for new team members and increase the stability and cohesiveness within the department. The team is excited to finish the year with a strong commitment to providing world class member service.

Pros

Great family atmosphere at the lower levels. Mid managers and directors are great to work for. Good benefits

Cons

Senior management is extremely weak. New people in new roles. No vision for the company. Senior managers play favorites and make up or change the rules to fit them not the company. The positive culture that made STCU great is changing and fading.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, feedback from both current and former employees is very helpful for us. Creating a positive atmosphere, offering great benefits and work/life balance is part of our commitment to employees. Transitioning into leadership roles, like all transitions takes time and support. We offer a leader transition program, as well as a variety of training classes through their first few years in their new role. In addition, we have numerous other feedback channels to give our employees an opportunity to voice these kinds of concerns. Please know that your feedback is being shared. We appreciate the years you spent working with us, and wish you the best in your career.
