Overtime opportunities are always there (current manager doesn't really care as long as work is done.) Work is sometimes flexible depending on the hospitals you go to. You work independently or with a few other people (1-3.) Few to some opportunities to travel overnight. Good coworkers. Full standard benefits. You work with surgical instruments ranging from forceps, clamps, scissors, to laparoscopic instruments and ronguers.

Cons

Work/life balance can be challenging due to technician shortages. Weekend work sometimes needed. Lower starting pay. Bonuses hard to get. Fiscal year evaluations.
