Pros

There is no Pros to work here simply just nothing. They will help you get your license and training that's all. They pay commission base.

Cons

There are lots of consequences working at Edge. I would recommend anyone not to work here so just go head work for Aptive, Terminex or Rentokil or others you are better off with those companies because they take care their employees. Edge Pest control has pretty much none to zero benefits. They just provide a health insurance that's all. I know several pest control companies who are much more smaller than Edge and offers full benefits their employees. You earn one paid day every year which is a joke and mockery to employees. They keep saying that they are working on benefits and which is not true. They don't care about their employees so Owners just want to fill up their own pocket and that's all. Daily branch meetings are burden to employees and pretty much everyone I know they hate daily branch meetings. Most service technician are not happy about the job. They hire bunch of immature kids and who doesn't know the job or won't be with company too long so they are there just for a paycheck. Weekly culture training are also is a joke so they talk about that we should not want a nice car but owners drive nice car. High turnover rate. In addition, salesman will over promise new customers and they will promise things that we don't do. When tech tells the customer, we don't do those things customer gets upset and cancel their contract. If I were a customer, I would cancel too. if you disagree with their policies , they will target you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Edge. We promote a culture to lift and create employees and to look for opportunities to learn and grow. The regular meetings provide an excellent opportunity to experience the culture, as well as to develop skill sets to enhance your career. For those that are new to their respective roles, as well as the industry, the regular meetings give employees the ability to collaborate with colleagues and smoothly transition into their role. You shared a concern regarding Sales Representatives promising services to customers that we do not offer. We strive to deliver our customers with excellent service and we do not tolerate lying about services or misrepresenting customers. We wish we had the opportunity to discuss your concerns prior to leaving Edge. We are sorry to hear that your experience with us was not positive. We hope for all the best with your future endeavors.

Pros

Good pay, but not long term.

Cons

So here's my story at Edge. I am currently working at Edge. Something recently happened here that is not okay and I will now be looking for another job. They act as they care about you, but they do not. Don't fall for Edge's tricks. Management is very passive-aggressive in everything they do. They make you lie over the phone telling customers that you're giving them a discount when you aren't, you're actually giving them a higher price. They recently fired 5 of my friends. One of them was the only woman working there. They fired her due to "poor performance" and "it's slower because it's wintertime", but she did better than most people there who didn't get fired. She was there longer than anyone else too. AND GUESS WHAT? They are hiring right now for her position. Yes, you read that all right. If you ever think they care about you, they don't. If you're looking for a shorter-term summer job, then this might be for you. You won't want to work here longer because they will fire you without a doubt.

We appreciate the time you took to share your experience with Edge. We take employee feedback seriously and investigated the concerns that you shared. Our focus is to provide customers with exceptional service and do not promote or encourage lying or misrepresenting customers. Regarding the concern around the female Inside Sales Representative, we have records indicating that there were multiple females working as Inside Sales Representatives during this time which are currently employed. You shared a concern about your female friend being terminated for “Poor Performance”, despite performing better than other Inside Sales Representatives who were not terminated. In the department, there are various metrics that are looked at as a collective to determine the performance of our Inside Sales Representatives. We strive to mentor and develop team members to reach professional goals. You also shared a concern about Edge hiring to fill the position that was just downsized for the slower winter months. Currently, we do not have any open positions in Inside Sales. However, we always encourage top talent to apply at our company, so we can continue to advance with our objective of becoming a long lasting and profitable organization. We value you and the contributions you’ve made with our Edge family. We would hate to lose you as an employee due to some misunderstandings and would like to address your concerns further in person. Please reach out to us at hr@eentities.com.
