Pros

-High starting wage and opportunity to move up very quickly -Set schedule 8 to 5 (for most stores) -Higher ups want to see you succeed and work with you individually very close -Easy to get time off and can be flexible when needed -A ton of benefits -Amazing pay as you move up for an entry-level job Overall, I feel like I belong here and I mean something to this company and I can not say the same for other jobs I have had, I am not just another number to them. I am a young female technician and I prove that anyone can have great success with Safelite.

Cons

-Can be physically tiring in the long summer days

Pros

Growing company despite the bad management and low profits this year worldwide. Safelite is owned by Belron who is a worldwide company and doesn't just depend on sales in the U.S. They do teach technicians how to give good customer service.

Cons

This is fraternity style management. Some of the best store managers are gone or leaving because they don't fit in the clique. There are really bad decisions being made at the top level in this company and it is not for the better. Some of the best sales people were laid off and some of the best technicians are no longer here. Makes no sense at all. The best performers do not get recognized and are leaving. You are expected to work all of the time, including weekends for charity organizations, all for the upper management's ego while they golf.

Pros

The company pays for claims adjuster trainee to get all the licenses to become a claims adjuster for USAA. This is not cheap and licensing is required in almost all states to handle USAA claims through Safelite.

Cons

They start you learning FNOL, tell you this is to give you something to fall back on in case the claims training program doesn't work out which sounds good. However, they expect you to learn all the licensing on you own time with very minimal training, most companies pay you for training, Safelite claims this is a career choice and not needed for the job. This is not true if you were hired in as a claims adjuster trainee, if you were hired as a CSR or FNOL specialist then this would be true. They refuse to give you 40 hours, everyone is part-time or 36 hours max, this is so they do not have to pay overtime. Everyone in the company is required to work Mondays (apparently their busiest day), Safelite Solutions only gives you a 30 minute lunch if you work OVER 8 hours a day (which is only on Monday), if you work 7 hours the rest of the week (based on 36 hour schedule) you only get two 20 minute breaks, which after going to the bathroom you barely have time to eat a decent meal on these days. Speaking of bathroom if you get up to go to the bathroom and it is not your break time you have to log off the phone and you will not get paid during this time. The fact that they do not give people more time to eat a decent lunch is ridiculous. They only pay $12 to 12.50 for training and tell you once you pass all your licensing exams your pay will increase between $15 to 18 dollars depending on what was discussed during your interview. However, the process of passing all six exams can take months even a year. Who wants to wait that long for an increase in pay when other insurance companies looking for claims adjusters have starting salaries of $38, 000 to 46, 000 a year.
