Pros

I make $20.00 an hour with 5 vacations. mostly thanks to the Union

Cons

the work shifts are terrible, after two decades I don't have any set days off, or not even 2 days in a row off. Work real early, then real late in one week.

Pros

Great inexpensive health insurance once you qualify. Carr's/ Safeway is all ways hiring. There is some opportunities for advancement. The management at the store I worked it was friendly and easy to talk to. And was good at following up on any concerns.

Cons

While Carr's/ Safeway is a union store the pay is not very good. Hires mostly part time works (can move to full time once you show you are willing to work.) Have to work 1000 hours to get health insurance
