Pros

Fun, active, fast paced job. Low supervision, very independent job duties. Employee discounts on groceries. Company provided uniform. Get to work out doors.

Cons

Low pay and hours. No benefits. Inconsistent work schedule, with some late shifts. Have to work weekends with some late Sunday night shifts.

Pros

Flexible work hours. Co-workers are friendly. Used to get extra wages on Sundays and holidays. Great place to get first-class customer service experience. Very applicable to many other job positions in the customer service industry.

Cons

Over the years, Safeway's business plan to weed out experienced workers for more part time laborers has resulted in lower customer satisfaction and decreased motivation to perform from workers. Safeway's plan to minimize costs has resulted in increased employee disengagement and decreased customer satisfaction.
