Pros

Coworkers were tolerable and i liked some of them. Scheduling was fine and able to work around school though i did have occasional issues

Cons

- store management was very cold and micromanaged -Did not feel cared about in the slightest. -Very difficult to get time off. -Communication is lacking. -Training and briefing on products is minimal -My personal department manager left all the work for me to do on my solo 4 hour shift almost every time which was often almost impossible despite being an efficient and fast worker. At times this caused me to have to stay 30 minutes- over an hour after my shift ended. Which was frowned upon by the company because they would have to pay me more. But if i didnt it would make it more difficult on openers and myself for future closes.

Pros

The only pro was the pay rate. I started off topped out for the food clerk pay rate due to coming from a previous job with a similar pay.

Cons

NO ACCOUNTABILITY IN THE STORE AT ALL. Managers are constantly scrambling to make shifts work due to forced understaffing thanks to corporate riding them about payroll every single week. Very often employees would do whatever they felt like doing, even straight up walking away from their registers or work stations without notice, and there were no consequences for the effects this behavior had on their coworkers. The front end manager would rather spend her days in the office so she can watch the cameras or text on her phone than be on the front end doing her job. The store director does nothing to hold his employees accountable for their work ethic. Certain customers would regularly abuse, swear at, insult, and otherwise mistreat workers and we were NEVER allowed to ban them from the premises. The environment at this store was so toxic that after less than 2 years I was so deeply depressed that I could no longer function. I would not return to this job even if they doubled my pay. I have worked retail for almost 20 years and I can say with 100% confidence that this job was the worst I have ever had.

Pros

Great coworkers who are like family

Cons

We aren't allow to have water they made me walk to work in a snow storm with cars swerving at me mean while they let other people who could drive stay home they blatantly ignore peoples health needs and they don't even accept our own health insurance at our pharmacy they took water away from us on the register so now we deal with hours of ringing and constantly moving and talking with no water and they only give 10 minute breaks so by the time you get to the break room or your locker you barely even have time to sip the water before you have to go back to work they ignore requested days off they cut hours so bad that there isn't enough people to check and get the floor work done and then we get penalized for it they kill all aspects of individuality you not even allowed to dye your hair without their permission and you get in trouble if your ankles are showing overall the management treats the employees like crap i wouldn't recommend it to anyone
