Pros

I had a great time working at the Juanita Safeway in Kirkland. Wonderful coworkers! I had previously had a bad experience at a former job working in a very toxic environment so this particular Safeway was a breath of fresh air since I never experienced anything like that while working there. It was very conveniently located from my apartment about 10 minutes away. Another positive aspect of working at Safeway is that they will build your schedule based off your availability.

Cons

The only downside to working at Safeway is the pay. At the Safeway I worked at, they started me out at $14 an hour which is definitely not nearly enough to support the cost of living in Kirkland, WA. I had to get another part time job to make ends meet. I finally got a raise right around the time I gave my two weeks notice (something ridiculous like $0.65 more an hour). Looking back on it, I should have requested a raise from management much sooner. I worked there for a little over a year.
