Pros

They are a leader when it comes to training. If there is a family emergency they are very supportive in your time of need.

Cons

The salary sounds good on paper until you find put you need to live for the job. Work life balance a a big ZERO. If you needed an accommodation for the work life balance( I have 2 young kids) they offered a demotion. They have management cut help so much to make a profit that you the salaried employee is expected to work unreasonable hours to achieve results.

Pros

The salary is good, but that is the only reason why the people that choose to stay feel that they can't leave.

Cons

Work-life balance is laughable--there is no such thing. Meetings in my district are often scheduled on our "mandated" days off, conference calls EVERY day, and often scheduled before the "mandated" time for our work day to begin, so we are forced to either come in early to take the calls, or take the calls in the car on the way in to work! The budget is virtually unmanageable--there is no budget to allow for the staffing actually needed to run bare-bones, yet the biggest customer complaint is that there is not enough help in the stores. The upper management is lost, and they carry a heavy hammer. The company is not in the business of selling groceries. The have such a divided focus, and the leadership is allowed to bully and belittle people rather than be coached and developed themselves so they know how to coach and develop others. It is a culture of misguided panic, micromanagement, and "fear." Morale is in the toilet, and more people would leave if they could afford to give up the money.

Pros

The time goes by so fast. The only reason I look at the clock is for hopes of there being more time left on my shift to get all the work done.

Cons

There is way too much expected for the deli department employees. No one in our store wants to work in the deli department because the stress is so much, the pressure is immense. If you can be in 3 or 4 places at once, then sign up because that is what is expected. The managers don't have a grip on reality. They walk around the store and blat out that "you need this and that in the grab n go" while we are running around waiting on lines of customers at the hot case, cold case and sandwich bar and trying to cook food. Do they offer assistance at these times? NO! They look at us as incompetent peons and that we just aren't doing good enough, and why can't we be dishing up several Shanghi meals, make sandwiches, fry food for the hot case that is getting low, and be on the floor to fill empty spots all at the same time!!!!! And also why didn't you get your production work done before the end of your shift. PS why did you go over 5 minutes-NO OVERTIME!!!!!!
