Pros

- The interview is very easy, one of my friends didn't have to answer any questions because they were desperate for new workers - Training is very easy - The other cashiers were helpful and nice to work with - Management will call you in A LOT during the weekend to work long shifts (so if you wanted to work more, this is definitely a pro)

Cons

- Poor scheduling, I told them at least 3 times about my availability during the school year, and they still put me for shifts during school hours - Calls you every single weekend to work unreasonably long hours - Not a fun environment to be around if you are a student, most of the employees are all much older - If you are a new employee, you cannot ask for time off because that time off goes to people with more seniority. It's impossible to ask for time off. - You don't get discounts I went in to check my schedule 2 days before the new week starts, management texts me the night after to "remind" me that I have a shift on the first day of the new week (which wasn't shown on my schedule). I told them that they can't just change my schedule last-minute out of nowhere. They then told me that they changed the schedule 5 days before the new week (??).

Pros

Company invests more on innovation so most of the IT technologies are present, implemented and practiced especially in the back-end side of operations. This is good for those who want to brush up and learn up-to-date technical skills. Good employee engagement programs driven by HR.

Cons

Highly bureaucratic, poor principles and practices on performance / succession management to employees by managers, slow promotion and lacks transparency on level of communication especially on crucial team or organizational movement.
