      Honeymoon period is way shorter than a real honeymoon period

      Pros

      decent pay as a checker easy to stand out as a good employee very hard to be fired not the most difficult job to learn

      Cons

      management treats employees terribly would not work around my schedule pay does not go up for performance, just for time you've worked there union environment most co-workers could care less

      - job security - decent pay - 3 to 4% raise every 6 months contingent on a good review from your immediate supervisor - plenty of opportunity for movement upward in the company

      Cons

      - customer service program is overbearing, redundant, and difficult to get exactly right - too much emphasis placed on secret shops - extremely low morale among employees, especially department managers - possibility of "topping out" on raise policy; after you've reached the maximum amount your position can be paid, you simply no longer receive any raises, ever.
