Pros

I was able to receive a wide range of training throughout the store, and certain members of the supervisory portion of the store were competent and treated all employees with respect.

Cons

Was treated very poorly by most members of upper management, and didnt feel like there was any ability for me to move forward with the company. The pay-rate was minimum-wage, which is unnacceptable in the current job market. Disciplinary action was done in very biased and "he said, she said" fashions. Management had a very closed-door policy, and members of management were unempathetic towards their employee's situations. To top it off, due to disputes with a member of management, after turning in my two weeks and finally quitting after my last day, i came to found out that I was non-rehirable due to "job abandonment." They had added another day to my last day of working there, without posting it. Highly unprofessional.

Pros

Regular routine. No surprises. Good place for lifer if you like doing the same thing over and over again. After working here for about 6 months, you will identify with Dilbert (like in the Sunday cartoons).

Cons

Very bureaucratic management. Lots of chiefs, not enough workers. About half the company generates excel spreadsheet reports for the other half. Many in management ranks started out as clerks and baggers. Some don't even have a real degree - they got their "MBA" from a diploma mill. Micro-managers. No sense of urgency. Lots and lots of politics.
