Pros

Loved everyone at my store. I met a lot of people and made friends. Felt like I knew everyone for many years.

Cons

Horrible management. Used new night crew hires like a sweat shop. This store is known to hire on fresh eager workers and dispose of them before their probation runs out. Union people are aware of it. I have never been so poorly treated at any employment place like this one.

Pros

Nothing positive about working there

Cons

Horrible work life balance. They expect you to use your floaters and vacation days to make payroll. So hard to call off sick and when you do they make you feel so bad. Can’t use vacation days properly. Good luck trying to take time off during holiday

Pros

- generally good coworkers, managers at certain locations can be genuinely excellent which vastly improves the employee experience. Never work for bad managers anywhere - generally good customers with a handful of clowns, karens, and tweakers - union benefits such as healthcare, pay on most holidays, and some time off

Cons

- incompetent/malevolent upper management who are wholly disinterested in employee welfare (understaffing stores all the time - especially in cashiering, cashiers not allowed to sit down, many other nitpicky bs rules which are sometimes ignored by local stores) - predatory/deceitful pricing practices i.e. buy multiples of 4 to get a discount thereby earning more money than they would through simply giving 25-50% off on the individual item, big yellow tags saying 20 cents off - this is actually a 4% discount on a particular item, etc. - very low pay, barely above minimum wage for anyone who hasn't been with the company more than several years or who is not management. - unpaid lunches. Employees should be paid when they are at work no one is here for fun
