Pros

At its core, Sage does a good job offering dignity to housekeepers, doormen, and the real hands and feet of hospitality. The C-suite is mostly really good people, but your experience will vastly differ by location/direct report.

Cons

Unfortunately, Sage still has portions of the company stuck in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and even pre-pandemic in the way they are trying to run their business. It varies vastly by whose vertical you're in, especially at the corporate level. Once you dig far enough, there are a lot of people pretending to work and blaming their direct reports for their leadership failures.

Pros

I’ve been with the company for 7 years, and what started as a role in the Front Office turned into an unexpected but deeply rewarding career in People & Culture. The opportunities for growth are real if you’re willing to be open, take chances, and lean into change. I initially had a clear path in mind—advancing within operations—but a conversation with a leader opened my eyes to Human Resources, and that pivot changed everything. Even though the transition meant stepping into a new field and a different level, I felt supported every step of the way. Sage doesn’t just talk about inclusion and belonging—it’s part of every decision, every team, and every celebration of growth. I’ve had the privilege of working with leaders who mentor, uplift, and invest in others. Thanks to that, I’ve grown from an hourly coordinator to a director supporting multiple properties, and I know I’m not alone in that kind of journey here. The company truly values people—not just guests, but associates too. During some of the most challenging times (including the global pandemic), I saw firsthand how resilient and connected our teams are. Leadership is approachable, culture is collaborative, and the focus on enriching lives isn’t just something we say—it’s something you feel. I’ve experienced it personally. To anyone considering a career here: if you’re passionate about hospitality, curious, and eager to grow, you’ll find a place where you can thrive. I’m proud of the journey I’ve taken and excited for what’s ahead.

Cons

Like all hospitality roles, it can be demanding at times—but the support and purpose make it worth it!
