Pros

A great company that tells everyone that they want to hire great talent and work to give them the skills they need and promote from within and all that stuff... and they actually do it. I have watched many deserving people in the hotel in Nashville get promoted into new positions so they can continue to learn and grow. the HR manager really cares and is very approachable about situations and problems. My manager in my department is one of the best people i've ever worked for and would do anything they ask of me because I know it is for the good of the hotel.

Cons

I see and hear a lot of pressure on the managers to cut hours and eliminate overtime even when the hotel is really busy and it is needed. It is hard to do your job well when youre help and backup is sent home early because it looks slow for 30 minutes and then a rush comes in and we get slammed. Hard to give good service when you are overwhelmed

Pros

The FOH and BOH staff seemed pretty cool.

Cons

I have never worked in a restaurant that was so toxic and did not seem to care about their operations or staff. I was employed full time for almost three months and in those three months I never worked close to 40 hours a week. I averaged 15-20 hours tops with getting the worst shifts and on top of that was expected to know a wide variety of material without proper training and the chance to perform, learn, and grow. It seemed like their was a lot of talking behind peoples backs and no support or team work among some of the staff. A lot of people butted heads and thought they were better than others.

Pros

Local company, large network of hotels.

Cons

Low end of the pay scale for branded properties (Marriott, Hilton, etc...) but overpay positions for their independent hotels.
