I appreciate your review on Glass Door and am sorry your time at Sage wasn’t what you expected. We value our Associates and do work hard to develop leaders who can grow their teams. I hope that during your exit interview you were able to give some specific feedback that will help us to grow as a company. I wish you the best of luck in your career going forward.

Pros

Benes. Benes. Benes. great benefits for cheap. Pay is great for college students.

Cons

At my location We had many issues with payment. They claimed to address these issues by firing the head of payroll but the issues persisted well into the new managers roll. Managers (at my location) would never honor the schedule, who has ever heard of a 9 am start and 9 pm end shift and calls it a volume shift? They are thankless and unappreciative, and they act like everything they do is so hard and time consuming that they cant be bothered to help in a rush. That is until the GM is on the floor then it is all hands on deck and "Oh that work can wait".

At Sage Restaurant Group and Urban Farmer restaurants we do our very best to take associate sentiment very seriously. We offer free meals, benefits, buss passes, uniform allowances, and do our very best to create a culture of caring for our teams. Unfortunately those things can get overlooked if a paycheck has an error, or scheduling has issues and we understand that. We also take measures to ensure as smooth an operation on our associates as possible as we know a happy associate is in everyone’s best interest. We do our best to communicate these business values to everyone, and to resolve problems as they arise. We will continue to do so, and will use this feedback as a resource to touch base with our teams and reiterate our commitment to providing a happy and productive environment. - Sincerely, Troy Christian - General Manager, F&B and Urban Farmer

Pros

The culture at Sage fits with me. I've worked for some other hospitality management companies and this is the first one where I feel like they truly care about their employees success, happiness, and salary/benefits. I feel like they care for their employees at the same level (or even more) than just "profit, profit, profit."

Cons

Sometimes I feel that at the individual hotel HR level isn't as strong as they should be. At my property, we've talked with HR about a few big issues that never get resolved. They're too busy doing ice cream socials, and handing out seeds for earth day. I don't think this is a Sage wide issue, I think this is an individual property issue.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback. I love hearing your feedback on Sage being the best hospitality company to work for. Our goal is to take care of our Associates above all else and the results will always follow. I am so glad to hear about your positive working experiences at Sage since our DNA is the most important asset we have. We value our associates above all else and that is what continues to make us successful. I appreciate the feedback about the individual property and hope that you are able to communicate that to someone on property to make a change. It takes open communication and management that is willing to listen to make the changes we need. Always know that you can contact the home office HR associates if you need to as well. Best of luck in your career.
