      A very solid experience with very experienced mentors that I learned much from. Sage was a good learning ground.

      Pros

      The opportunity to learn how an enterprise publisher operates. There were many good learning experiences on both sides working with key accounts, in helping them grow their business and learning how to facilitate that growth.

      Cons

      Sage has a habit of housecleaning staff every few years, so that is something to consider. The best and brightest are not always those folks that are kept on board. It can be a very political environment.

      Clown Operation

      Pros

      I was a part of the "Concierge" team which was given one day of training on the product. This scheme was devised by someone in Sage North America to decrease hold time. They hire people to quickly answer calls, say (in a robot voice), "I am searching for a solution to your problem," and then transfer the call to a REAL support representative. The pro is that they give employment to people who are able to act like robots.

      Cons

      As contract employees, we were treated like we don't matter. And then we were advised to violate our contract by applying for work with Sage directly. They've got some serious legal issues in the making.

      Exciting company to work for

      Pros

      Fantastic team. Talented inspiring people, - joy to work with. I like the product a lot and what the company is trying to achieve in the market. It has not yet reached the size where everyone gets to do just one thing, so endless opportunities to get involved with various projects and progress within your team as well as into other teams should one express interest and capability.

      Cons

      Personally I enjoy it but some people can find it very challenging and too fast paced. If you want 'just a job' this is not a good place for you since it requires a lot of energy and sometimes personal time. Some poor decision made in the past by senior management, but things have improved a lot since.
